Has anyone experienced puffy/swollen eyelids?

recently my upper lids have become very puffy. Not swollen, they do not itch or hurt or have a red tint like when they are swollen. They’re just puffy. Now my lower lids are puffy and my cheeks as well. My pcp said it’s the lupus, my eye doc says the eye muscles are tired. It’s been 12 days. Has anyone experienced this facial swelling? Any recommendations to help it go away?

    Hi Toria,
    While I don't have Lupus, I have been diagnosed with undifferentiated connective tissue disease. I have found that with this (or in addition to this disease), I have various allergy manifestations. I had significant eyelid swelling for a long time. Derm patch testing revealed I had developed significant allergies to makeup. Getting rid of the makeup helped. But I am now on a strict autoimmune-based diet, and if I waver from it, I get eyelid swelling. I have not had facial swelling, however. I hope this helps you.

    I have woken up with puffy eyelids every day for the past 6 months. People who don't know me say it's just allergies. It isn't and I'm frustrated as I'm new to this small town and I'm having a hard time finding doctors who can/do treat Lupus SLE. Prednisone is only thing that helps but PCP will not write a script for it.
