Does your Rheum have you fast for ALT bloodwork?

Hi,
I'm on a certain med that I need to be tested for every 2 months due to the med possibly causing liver issues. Anyway, I always thought ALT tests were supposed to be fasting, but my Rheum (who I dont trust) says I dont need to. If youre on a med for your Lupus, that you need ALT testing done regularly, would you please let me know if your Rheum has you fast for the test?
